PRODUCTS FAQS

Our water-based sanitisers add a long lasting antibacterial protective layer to hands and surfaces. Once dry, Zoono resembles a layer of microscopic pins that attract, pierce and kill pathogens – the same principle as a pin popping a balloon. It is designed to help support routine hand washing and surface cleaning to provide enhanced protection in between. 

Our products are made from 99% deionised water, 1% active ingredient – Quaternary Ammonium Compound. QAC is derived from a molecule of sand which goes through a synthetic process to activate it. Our products do not contain alcohol, phenoxyethanol, triclosan or fragrance.

Zoono can be used on all surfaces in the home. Follow the instructions on the label – use Zoono after your regular cleaning routine on clean, dry surfaces and allow approx. 10 minutes for drying. For commercial / technical applications, industry specific written protocols are recommended and are provided as required. Zoono is designed to be used alongside regular cleaning habits to provide enhanced protection in between.

Whilst all substances have a ‘toxicity’ level (even water), Zoono has a ‘toxicity rating’ similar to that of Vitamin C. So yes – Zoono can be safely used around people, pets and plants alike.

Simply apply GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser liberally to the hands and gently rub until dry.

No. It forms an antimicrobial barrier on the skin and will not stain clothing nor discolour skin.

No. GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser does not rub off and will remain active on the skin for 24 hours. Normal washing of the hands and drying with a towel, will not affect efficacy.

On application, the hands feel silky and moisturised without leaving a visible film or coating. A single application of Hand Sanitiser will act like a glove, providing an invisible bond to the skin for 24 hours without the need for reapplication.

You don’t have to… Hand Sanitiser remains active on the skin until natural exfoliation occurs and this usually takes 72 hours or so (varies due to factors like exercise, work environment etc). But within high risk environments (Health Care etc), some professionals prefer to use GermFree24 more frequently.

No. Unlike other hand sanitisers that contain up to 70% alcohol (that remove natural oils and dry the skin), GermFree24 is a mild, non-alcohol formulation. On application, Zoono Hand Sanitiser leaves hands soft and silky.

Yes. GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser does not inhibit the normal function of the skin. The antimicrobial layer produced by application GermFree24 Hand Sanitiser bonds to the skin yet allows the skin to “breathe” normally.

Yes. Zoono Hand Sanitiser has been dermatologically tested in Germany on a range of skin types (older people, young people, fair skinned and dark skinned people etc) – with zero reactions recorded.

Yes. Zoono has approx 150 Test Results on file from accredited laboratories around the world, including New Zealand, Australia, UK, Germany, USA, South Africa, Korea, China and Japan. These are provided as part of the Regulatory process for Approvals and Registrations globally.

No. Once GermFree24 has bonded to the skin, it remains effective until such time the skin naturally exfoliates. An application of alcohol in the meantime, will not affect GermFree24 efficacy.

Yes. Because it’s free from alcohol and other harmful ingredients you can use the Surface Sanitiser Spray to keep germs off toys. Make sure you clean the toys first then spray and let it completely dry before giving it back to them.

If you’re on Zoono-sa.co.za, you will be charged in ZAR. 

Orders will be dispatched from our Warehouse in Cape Town or a nominated third party pick/pack service. Delivery time will vary from region to region. Additional rural / township charges may apply.

You should receive an email as soon as your payment is successfully received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within a few hours and you’ve checked your junk mail folder, please contact us.

You can enter your coupon code into the ‘Coupon Code’ field within the ‘Shopping Cart’ section of the site. If you have trouble redeeming the order, please contact us for further assistance.

If you’ve forgotten your password you may click the below and follow instructions to reset your password. Please ensure you allow 20 minutes to receive the email to reset your password.

We do however some countries are excluded. If we cannot process your order you will be provided a refund.
Unfortunately we don’t ship to Russia due to strict customs procedures.
Delays due to customs clearance or internal service are not accounted for. International orders  may incur import duties or taxes levied by the authorities in your country. These duties, taxes or charges are payable by the receiver. The threshold in the UK is low.
Our courier provider does not ship to the following places: Crimea Region, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, Syria.

Dispatch will be in 5-7 business days. (Time may vary depending on volumes)
Our dispatch centres are based in South Africa.
NORMAL DELIVERY TIMES: 
Within South Africa: 5-10 business days.(there are some delays due to high volumes and some restriction, please expect a temporary delay of up to 15 business days)
 
HIGH DEMAND PERIODS:
3 weeks for delivery.

National Domestic Road freight 

R115 per order, 25kg maximum, R6 per kg thereafter.

Delivery time 36 – 72 hrs during business hours.

 

RETURNS FAQS

It is important that you’re happy with the items you’ve purchased from us. If your item is faulty, it may be returned to us. If goods are faulty they may be returned for a refund or exchanged within 14 days or receiving your order, provided they are unopened and unused. Please note postage costs will not be refunded for the cost incurred returning the items to us. If the goods are faulty or were sent in error we will reimburse you the cost incurred to return the item/s back to us.  Zoono will strictly not accept returns on open or used items, unless the item is faulty, subject to all South African Legislation. If at the discretion of Zoono, you are to be refunded, Zoono will charge an administrative fee. 

 

Orders that qualify for a refund that have been placed on our website will be refunded similar to the way you made your purchase and you will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed. Please see terms & conditions for our return policy. If you used a credit card, the funds will be credited back to your credit card within 5-10 business days however this may vary depending on your bank (and can take up to 15 days). 

If you believe your parcel has been lost please contact our courier company, please check tracking details in your email.

You may return your item purchased if it is faulty. Please contact us and we will assist you through the process.

Yes, if you have sufficient evidence to provide us. Please contact us and we will assist you through the process. Please note, you will need to provide a receipt for these postage costs in order for us to refund you.

If you need to make a change to the billing address, delivery address and contact number please let us know as soon as you can. If we haven’t shipped your order & we’re not in a high-demand period we will do our best to make the changes. Unfortunately, we’re unable to change the items within your order.

Please contact us and we will happily resolve this with you. While we take care to ensure accuracy, from time to time we get it wrong. If you believe your order is incorrect, please contact us.

Within South Africa:
You can return your item via any traceable courier service.
You will need to cover courier costs yourself.
You must take precautions to ensure your items reach our warehouse as we cannot take responsibility until we receive the items. Please ensure you use a traceable service for safe delivery.
If your item is faulty we will reimburse delivery costs however, please use the most economical delivery method to return your items as we cannot reimburse for an amount higher than the original delivery costs.
